However a burning oil smell may or may not be related, I don't believe any of the CCV hoses which may have failed are near exhaust components.
1281 code returns after clearing faults and attempting to start. I have tested every pin in the DME harness connector. - Good voltage at all coils and injectors. - Good voltage at always-hot pin and key-switch pin (when switched) - Good grounds. - Good fuel pump activation. I suspected a bad CKP sensor and replaced it.
When an engine mount begins to fail, you will feel more vibrations from the engine. If a mount is broken, the engine may sag (sit lower in the engine compartment) or have excessive movement under torque. When working under your vehicle, you may notice fluid that appears to be leaking out of your engine mount.

I looked in the manual what this light means, and according to the manual, it says that the cause is "Full engine power is no longer available." E90 2008 328i auto. Had the car for about 6 months and it’s got 160k on it. Has driven fine until recently, only repair I know was needed prior, is motor mounts which I’ll do soon. Anyway suddenly getting intermittent P1727 & P0335. Also getting malfunction in drive which usually clears when car is turned off.
